Sunday smoothie: this is a high-antioxidant recipe.
Blend together 1 cup pomegranate juice with 1/4 cup each blueberries and raspberries. To this puree, add: 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder, and 1 tablespoon plain, unsweetened cocoa powder. Blend. Is this your breakfast? Add protein powder of your choice to equal 20 grams of protein. Blend again … and enjoy. Don’t want one or more of these ingredients? Don’t add them … but they are all rich in antioxidants. Even the cocoa powder!

8 cups water, 1 cup lemon juice, 5-6 crushed / minced garlic cloves, 3 tablespoons fresh grated ginger root or 2 teaspoons dried ginger powder, 4-5 dashes cayenne powder. Bring to boil, simmer for 15 minutes. Strain. Drink 1 cup per hour. Add honey or maple syrup to taste!
